Trained at Central School of Speech and Drama, London, Jenny arrived in Australia in 1976 and has been prominent in the Perth theatre industry as an actor and director ever since, working extensively with all the major companies and theatres. As a performer and a director she has frequently toured nationally and also internationally (including New Zealand, UK and Brazil). Her most recent stage appearance was as Lady Bracknell in Black Swan State Theatre’s THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. Her most recent television appearances were in THE GREAT GOLD SWINDLE and LOCKIE LEONARD 2 and she has appeared in many ABC Radio National dramas and was a writer for ABC schools radio for 10 years.

 

Jenny was artistic director of the WA Youth Theatre for 10 years.

 

In 1993 Jenny founded Agelink Theatre Inc, a verbatim theatre company that creates shows based on oral histories. Jenny has both written and directed many shows for the company. Jenny appeared at St George’s Cathedral in SWAN RIVER SAGA for Agelink Theatre in conjunction with the Cathedral Drama Dept. Her production of QUARTET toured nationally and her play, DEAR HEART (based on her own aunt’s WWII letters and diaries), has also toured Australia and to the UK and was commissioned as a book by Allen and Unwin and as an audio book by Bolinda publishing.

 

Jenny received a Centenary Medal for services to the theatre industry.
